Richmond, VA -- Virginia House of Delegates Speaker Kirk Cox today announced his endorsement of Garrison’s campaign, stating “Garrison brings a fresh conservative prospective to our party, and will run a robust campaign, centered around ideas, that will solve the challenges individuals and families in our Commonwealth face.”
Reflecting on Speaker Cox’s endorsement, Garrison said “Friends of mine that were taught by Kirk Cox always spoke very highly of his compassion and dedication to others through service. Over the years, I’ve come to know Speaker Cox to be a leader who always puts the greater good of the Commonwealth above self. I thank Speaker Cox for his endorsement and support.”
Garrison R. Coward is the Chief Operating Officer of BizCents, a Henrico based data analytics firm. Garrison is a former political advisor and Campaign Manager to Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA01). Prior to joining Congressman Wittman, Garrison served as Political Director and Deputy Director of Minority Engagement, for the Republican Party of Virginia. He is the Executive Director of the Conservative Professionals Network of Virginia, which aims to engage a new generation of center-right thinkers on public-policy matters. In 2016, he was elected a Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Virginia's 7th Congressional District.
Garrison is a Henrico native, and life-long Virginian, who serves on several community boards, including on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Southside Community Housing and Development Corporation, and the Greater Richmond YMCA Millennial Committee. Garrison is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of the Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union.
